How to format citations from Twitter and Facebook in MLA and APA:
The rising popularity and extended use of Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms has naturally lead to use of materials appearing on those platforms in research documents. Such use, in turn, calls for proper citation of those materials as sources. The American Psychological Association (APA) and the Modern Language Association (MLA) have recently answered the call for the proper citation format in their style manuals for these types of sources.
